Maku37 ports okumurari2’s MAKU ambience instrument to the M-VAVE SMK-37 PRO, with the keyboard adaptation by genkigenki. It starts with a randomly generated musical world in the selected key, built from four parts: pulse, floor, haze and voice. Performance actions such as sink, cascade, swell, wobble, lift, scramble and drift reshape the texture. The keyboard’s top-row buttons and wheels trigger those actions, 16 pads recall liked worlds or edit the pulse steps, and faders hold action amounts and space. Encoders control macros and the four part levels. MIDI clock uses USB. This is experimental replacement firmware, with distinct packages for supported model variants.

X0X37 brings Charles Vestal’s X0X groovebox to the M-VAVE SMK-37 PRO through a port by genkigenki. A 909-style drum machine, an 808-style drum machine, two 303 bass synths with the TB-3PO line generator, and a breakbeat player run together. Shared reverb, tape delay and a master compressor join pattern sequencing, song arrangement and recorded knob motion. The keyboard and pads select steps, patterns and parts. Two fader banks mix the instruments and effects, while the wheels control tuning and cutoff for the selected 303. USB MIDI and USB audio retain the upstream functionality. This is experimental replacement firmware tested on an SMK-37 PRO; the TRS MIDI output is not yet driven.

Snoop37 turns the M-VAVE SMK-37 PRO into a four-track groovebox with three synth tracks and a drum machine. genkigenki ports SLOOP 2.5 by isod89, itself based on Felucca by Leo Kuroshita, to the keyboard’s keys, pads, faders, wheels and display. Its feature set includes synthesis engines, drum kits, samples, song mode, parameter locks, USB audio and MIDI clock. The RGB pads show track colours and provide a sound picker. Four fader banks control levels, filters, reverb and delay, while the wheels add pitch bend and vibrato. Snoop37 adds an animated intro, boot jingle and visualisers. It is experimental firmware tested on an SMK-37 PRO; the pedal jack, TRS MIDI output and pad pressure are not yet used.

FoMni37 turns the M-VAVE SMK-37 PRO into an Omnichord-inspired chord harp. genkigenki ports Charles Vestal’s FoMni firmware so the 16 velocity-sensitive pads act as strings to strum, while the keyboard selects chords. A HARP layout retains the original chord-button arrangement; a CHORDS layout spreads major, minor and seventh chords across the keybed. Fader banks control voice, chord and drum levels alongside sustain, reverb and space. Pitch and modulation wheels add bend and vibrato, and USB MIDI supports input and output. The project is experimental and tested on an SMK-37 PRO. Bluetooth, the pedal jack, TRS MIDI output and pad aftertouch are not currently used.

Makkuro37 is a microtonal drone synthesizer by genkigenki for the M-VAVE SMK-37 PRO. Eight drone voices are arranged in eight columns, with pads gating the voices and the keyboard playing two VCOs. It includes 96 presets in six themes and 16 user slots, with tuning options spanning just intonation, Pythagorean tuning, 24-TET, maqam and gamelan. The controls use a consistent column-based layout: buttons open menus, eight encoders adjust the columns, and the arrow buttons turn pages. A browser simulator runs the engine and display. This is experimental, unofficial replacement firmware, with sound and platform work credited to Melodee, SLOOP and Felucca.
